instead of looking for another job elsewhere. Whether it's a private or public
business, employee motivation matters equally.

They are barely putting in effort, lacking creativity, avoiding interaction, and displaying a desire to be elsewhere. To uplift their morale and motivation, several steps can be taken. Firstly, engage in open and honest communication to understand the underlying reasons for their decreased motivation. Provide opportunities for skill development and career advancement to reignite their passion for the job. Identify and appreciate their contributions through feedback and rewards. Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation. Additionally, consider adjusting workloads or responsibilities to align with their interests and strengths. By addressing these concerns and demonstrating genuine support for their well-being, you can effectively enhance their motivation and restore their commitment to the organization. Very informative article Jasmine. Many organizations in local context think it is all about money. Yet, you get money either at the end of the job or at the end of the month. That motivation will not last long. The motivation that last long will be factors that you have discussed above. As Herzberg's explanations, employees will not merely be satisfied with just hygiene factors as you have discussed in your previous article. They should feel like coming to work, employees should feel valued. Then they will be loyal and retain in the organization. Kudos on putting this together.
